His hobbies don't change the fact that he satisfied the 10 years of service and payments required for loan forgiveness.
After 10 years of payments and working are you OK with my mortgage being forgiven creating a burden on inflation and the economy?

I'm less than a year out for ~200k of forgiveness.
Did you not understand how loans work?

Yes, hence why I'm getting the government sponsored forgiveness when I signed up for them years ago, knowing that if I followed this path the loans would be forgiven. Does your mortgage have the option to work in the government sector for less money and make 10 years of payments? If so, then yeah, you should be forgiven.

...you have me on the fence here.
Public service salaries are garbage. One of the perks is that the government writes off the debt after a number of years of service. It's more of a bonus than a forgiveness.
Their taxpayer paid salary includes a bonus of student debt being paid for.
Good or bad, it isn't the typical forgiveness situation. The fact that he's an idiot is less suprising.

Has congress passed legislation allowing you to do this?
If not, I have no idea why that would be a relevant analogy.

WTF work your arse off the pay student loans and your mortgage? Disgusting.
Should have let the discharge in BKCY remain. All the doctors nad lawyers used it years ago and then the banks immediately gave them $250K in new credit so they could start their practices, buy MBs and million $ houses.
This country is beyond screwed up. The people that do it right get bent over with no lube,
