Thought to ponder: would there be less outrage if instead of loan forgiveness, there was a program that paid out, say, $100k in a lump sum to people who work a qualifying public service job for 10 years?

Why would working in a public service job be worth more than a comparable job in the private sector?
It’s truly illogical.
