He seems pretty good at choking in the super regionals with the best team he will probably ever have. Congrats I guess.

Fine, let’s compare Vitello to your last 2 coaches before JJ.

Skip Bertman- first 5 years as HC, 2 Omaha trips. Took 8 years to win his 1st title. Missed NCAA tournament TWICE in first 5 years.

PM- took 14 years as HC before he made his 1st Omaha appearance, and 21 years ti win his 1st national championship.

Vitello- first 5 years as HC, 2 Omaha trips, and made first appearance in 3rd year like Skip. Missed ncaa tournament ONCE in first 5 years.

If you ask me, Vitello is doing just fine when you compare the same time frame as a HC. It took PM 21 years to win his first title as HC. So if Vitello wins a title before 21 years, does that mean he’s better than PM?
