Police responded to a call at approximately 11:56 p.m. in the 800 block of South Peters Street, where they found one woman shot to death and eleven others shot.

The victims were transported to a local hospital by EMS while others were brought to the hospital by private vehicles.

Police did not immediately release more information. The investigation is ongoing.

When I first read this I thought it may have been a Tulane student on a drug binge. Republic is known for their techno and dubstep shows.

Then I realized the day and time it happened and did some digging. Looks like it was a special event and this one won’t be getting national attention.

We need to make sure that we make it harder for law abiding citizens to buy guns. That will solve these problems.

there's a homicide in nola every day. so............in terms of mass shootings, if you calculate on every sunday for the entire week, they average about 6 per week.

Same exact body count as the backyard shooting in Chicago a couple of days ago. Only difference is a 9 year-old child wasn’t killed.

Gravy and c on z say if there were better economic opportunities this deprived person wouldn't have to shoot 11 people on a Sunday night
