I’ll start by saying I’m going to the LIV event in Houston in June.
But I couldn’t give a shite about any of their tournaments. Zero tradition, a bunch of golf is played outside of the USA. I care about one a tournament a year played outside of the USA.
It seems like the events are like preseason games/Allstar games (No cut events). I don’t watch those either.
Like I said though I’m going in June and maybe I’ll change my mind so we shall see.

Seems like LIV might be fun to go to, but I can't keep my focus on the broadcast.
Part of the struggle I have is that there is a history with all of the PGA courses they play. Generally you know how a course is going to play, you know the layout from years past, and how certain players play the course. I don't particularly care to go down that road with LIV. Golf isn't a team sport and the loud music laid back atmosphere doesn't do it for me.
It's most comparable to Tennis. If Tennis had loud crowds and music blaring, it wouldn't appeal to me. I want to see guys focused on their sport, and the distractions in LIV seem like it tames down the discipline and focus.
On the fan side of things, I'll keep saying that it sucks as a fan to not have all the top players able to play each other routinely. The PGA is IMO largely to blame for what has happened. They have mismanaged the LIV competition at every step of the way. Monahan is an absolute backstabbing greedy idiot and he solely deserves the PGA to implode, but I hate that the PGA is the one who struggles through this.

I am thinking about attending the Houston event too just to see it in person and how it is run.
Hopefully it won't be 105 degrees.
