Wife asked if I would entertain it, so I thought why not since I've been bald for 20 years

I started balding at 15 and I just went with shaving. I can't imagine having to manage hair again

A couple of friends of a friend went to Istanbul last year and were pleased with their experience.
I went this route in December. 4 months later, I'm so glad I did it. My hair is a lot fuller and I still have a lot of growing to do.

whats the deal with Istanbul? Does the FDA hold us back here or something?
what kind of procedure did you do? I went bald about 10 years ago and just started buzzing it. I actually like being bald but sometimes it would be nice to have some hair again

Did you get the new surgery that transplants the hair follicles from your hairy arse, back, legs, and chest on to your head?
They don’t like to use pubic hair because when someone gets excited they complain about their head feeling stiff.

well, yeah. You should have karate skills to wear a hair piece. You're probably good.

Been going 3 months now with a lace front human hair system after being bald for 2 decades. Only problem is hair color isnt naturally peppered with grey hairs so its gonna be 1 solid color, but finally found a color that works. Got this Doctor Strange look going on. Took a while to get adjusted to glueing and cleaning, but got it down. Folks never would have guessed its a hair peice. Also say I look healthier and ask if I have lost weight (jokes on them, my BMI is over weight). Wife asked if I would entertain it, so I thought why not since I've been bald for 20 years.

My hair was always really soft/thin and a pain in the arse to fix. Wind would blow and it was immedialtely a mess. Wore a baseball cap outside of work most of the time just avoid fixing it anyway.
Started thinning in my late 20s and finally buzz shaved it in my mid 30s. Best decision ever. SOOOOO much easier to deal with.
I'll never go back personally.

It’s just cheaper, that’s the main thing .. apparently you can get the procedure, airfare, hotel and a few days in Istanbul (which really isnt on my list of places to see, but whatever) for less than half of what the procedure alone would cost in most American cities…. Plus Turkish doctors do a ton of these transplants and the country is known as the hair transplant capital .

For the more recent time frame, I can't say I notice anyone wearing a piece or system.
Or no respectable person would wear a toupee.
There are are many alternatives before you get to that level.

Cool.. I didnt say it was a bad place, or that it was a shithole- just that it isnt on my personal List .

I think the right move here would’ve been to have them incrementally put longer and longer hair in so you could claim you started lifting and doing ju jitsu and it grew back.

I'm 37, and my hair started thinning in my early 30's. Didn't really bother me because it wasn't bad. But I went and saw a Dr just to look into options. He didn't recommend transplant and after hearing about it there was no way I was doing that anyway. I didn't even do the Rogain shampoo. Got on a 1mg tablet of Finasteride and bought a laser cap. Was 2k at the Dr's office but found a brand new one on eBay for $350. Put the cap on for 7 minutes every night before I go to bed (you can do it anytime).
Just went for a year follow up to see how it was working and I couldn't believe how much it had helped. It's gradual so I didn't notice a bunch although my wife and friends had said my hair looked thicker. Before and after photos were pretty impressive. And he said the most growth typically occurs in years 1-2 so it should get even better.
I would have been perfectly fine with thinning hair, my dad went bald in his 50 and honestly he looks good bald. But for a $350 cap and $57 in pills for 3 month supply, I'll pay to stop the balding.
Feel like I just did an infomercial post

I started thinning at 25ish and tbh, if it was just a receding hairline I probably would have tried to hang onto what I had left.
But the thinning was on my crown, no way I was sporting a jew cap at 25.
I shave it daily and keep a well-maintained medium length beard. Wife says she likes it better than when I had hair. But she met me while I was thinning so she doesn’t remember me with a full head of hair.
