5 total picks would get them to 1/32nd. Not sure skipping on 2 players in 24 total drafts is juicy conspiracy material
But on that note, consider when the bulk of those drafted players came through - Miles era. Payton would know as well as anyone how raw and under-developed our guys were. OSU was more of the opposite

I remember watching an under developed Miles team kick Ohio State’s butt in the Superdome back in January of 2008. I couldn’t believe how lucky we got.
That Les Miles sure was a lucky coach.
