Street parking and surface lots can be a little tighter for afternoon games, assuming you mean weekday.

I usually head West on Capitol street from 59, and check for garage or lot signs with reasonable prices in the $20 range and walk a couple blocks. If it's a big draw series, could be higher.

Go over to Lot B and Lot C East of 59, assuming no Dynamo or Dash game is going on. Find a spot over there and get food at Cobos after the game.

there's a helipad at pierce and austin. have your pilot land there where your chauffer is waiting to pick you up and drop you off at the suite entrance...

It’s easy, just park in the lot across the highway from the stadium

Is it not safe to park and ride on the trains that run down there?

Do they even run that late?

It's fine to park and ride the train, but there really isn't any point to do it. We usually find a spot on Spot Hero (parking app) and park in a garage somewhere between Main and MMP. I am always coming to the park from 45, rather than 59 though. I find it easier to get out from 45. The traffic over on the 59 side of the park is bad after games and might be really bad after an afternoon game.

I think for an afternoon game, I'd plan on eating somewhere downtown to let rush hour traffic die down.

For an afternoon game, the lot directly across the street on Texas Ave is awesome. Its $40 but I am a lazy frick and I can get on 45 or 59 from there in 5 mins. As for safety, all of the lots around Minute Maid are perfectly fine.

The train is fine, but you still have to park somewhere along the line, and then it's like a 6 block walk from the train stop to the stadium.

I had zero parking plan. Drove to near the stadium then away from it. Pulled into a parking lot and went to the game. It was around $30 paid with an app.

It mainly depends on which direction you want to head after the game.

Lots B & C usually have day of game parking available if you haven't purchased from the Astros ahead of time.

My personal preferences are the lots at 1818 Commerce St. or 1769 Franklin St. because they have easy post-game access to head north on 59.

I usually park in that big lot between Cobos and the lofts at the ballpark. Quick walk over and right next to the bars for after the game.

Do not use street parking. My truck, and 2 others around mine were broken into back in June. I'll be using a garage and parking on a higher level from now on.

Stay away from Star Of Hope Mission. Men’s homeless shelter. Traffic in and around it is sketchy like you would expect.

Don’t park on the other side of 59. They are trying to gentrify that area but it’s not there yet.

I usually try to park on the street outside one of the courthouses because there are usually tons of cops around them. You'll have to pay a meter before 6:00 pm though, but you can add more time using your phone in case you're there for more time that you expect.
