Any tips on the best and easiest way to get rid of the things? Neighbor’s unkempt maple keeps dropping helicopters that take root. Is tree poison a thing (Toomer’s Corner and all that)?

Can you get that at Home Depot, etc.?

EDIT. Never mind, found it. Thank you for the tip, sir.

Go to your local florist and ask to buy some of the tubes with caps they use to put water in for flowers. The caps have a hole in the center to push the flower stem through.

Mix a strong solution of brush killer or glyphosate and fill the tubes. Clip the saplings off an inch above the ground. Shove the tube down on it and leave it there for about a week. The sapling stem will suck up the brush killer.

How big we talking?

A weedeater works pretty well for small saplings.

I'm not against pest and herbicides, but usually try to avoid them unless necessary.

This board seems to use ALOT of chemicals for yard work.

Do they grow faster than the grass? I have saplings all around my maples but just mow and weedeat them
