well, god damn... i'm glad you cleared this up for the rest of the world that apparently didn't know this already.... but when you look at it, especially in the NBA, the higher the guy is drafted, they typically are better players.... crazy, i know.... and that's not even going into how much more trade value 14 has over 21...

making the playoffs only to likely get swept by OKC does NOTHING for this team going forward, in terms of long term strategy/roster development... its purely a moral victory, breeds complacency in the front office, coaching staff, and ownership, and does nothing to progress us any further than we currently are.... but hey print the shirts... The playoff experience will be very valuable for our young guys: Trey, Herb, Jose, and Dyson. That, by itself, is worth way more than just a couple of draft slots.

But we also know the playoffs are worth a fair amount of money to Gayle, and the balance sheet matters in terms of the decisions Griff gets to make.
