Powdered Gypsum

This. It drops the suspended mud particles to the bottom. My pond is 1/3 acre and I just kinda flung it in all around it. Used about 500 pounds. Buy it buy the bag at feed stores, call before you go pick it up, they all don't carry it. For bigger ponds, people will ride around in a boat and drop it in the prop wash, or also mix it in a big tank and form a slurry and then pump it into the pond.

Before you buy a bunch, buy one bag and do a jar test. Fill up 2 jars with pond water. Leave one alone. In the other, add a tablespoon of gypsum and shake up. Check a few hours/days later and see the difference.

Also, make sure its POWDERED gypsum, not pelletized.
