He wrote several songs about his bowel movements.

Fire Down Below
Night Moves
Like a Rock
Shame on the Moon
Against the Wind

All inspired by him taking dumps.

I wore out the Night Moves and Against the Wind albums, but lately I’ve been hitting his video of Still the Same pretty much every weekend.

It’s weird seeing this thread. I have not thought of or listened to Bob Seger in a very long time, but on a random whim today played some Seeger in the truck. Then I see this thread. Anyway…..

Night Moves

Have seen my share of concerts but unfortunately never saw him live. Hate it but last time he toured it was 250.00 a ticket. No thanks. BTW Roll Me Away is my favorite of his. Then MainStreet

2019 Bob Seger was scheduled for Jazz Fest and had to Cx due to an illness. I was so looking forward to seeing him finally.

Later that summer they announced a tour date in BR. I took a chance and bought tickets but due to his illness, I didn't expect much.

He was incredible. Played all the hits, interacted with the crowd, told stories about where he was in his life when he wrote each song and sounded great.

I still think it was one of my favorite concerts ever.

Get Out of Denver is the best Bob Seger song

Yet you’ll hear old time rock n roll ten billion times on the radio before ever knowing it even existed

Down on Main Street, the guitar intro at the 15th to 18th fret on a Tele is classic

Love Night Moves

Love Main Street

But Bob Seger's quintessential song?: Gotta be AGAINST THE WIND

"Seems like yesterday...it was not so long ago..."

EVERYONE can relate to Seger's nostalgic look back and the toll life's twists & turns take as strong young men with lives still ahead of us. This tune is tinged with notes of bitter-sweetness... (it's ok to drop a tear by the end of the song)

I like a number of his tunes, but at 2 or 3 am, Main Street hits it just right.
