I’m actually surprised these guys still fill big venues

I just never hear about them anymore or see them on Sirius XM

Not my cup of tea but to each is own

I'm always embarrassed for people that like them. I mean, it could be worse -
a lot worse, but people that wear their t-shirts, put their stickers on their car, etc....:cringe:

Yeah no idea why most of these Live Nation shows that come through my town are playing an 18,000 seat arena. I just looked and the worst seats for Greta Van Fleet are $111 apiece after fees. The entire upper level is blocked off as well as a few sections of the lower.

I guess this band is a polarizing topic here, because…he sounds like Plant. I guess he should learn to sing differently? Maybe change genres?

Not bad, but I like Dirty Honey more.

Regardless as far as current rock bands go they are putting out some of the best mustic.

They really aren't, though. The record labels have provided you with their latest attempt at a marketable rock band.

There's a difference in having a similar vocal range and timbre versus becoming a walking caricature of the most iconic frontman of all time.

It’s really only the first EP where they sound like a Zeppelin clone (which is not something that I have a problem with. I love Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time. Led Zeppelin hasn’t existed since a decade before I was born. I enjoy seeing Zeppelin tribute bands. I cover Zeppelin songs in my own band. I would love more Led Zeppelin.)

Since then, they have more or less found their own sound, put on really entertaining live shows, and their vocalist has sounded a lot more like Axel Rose or Getty Lee.

Personally, I don’t find “sounding like the greatest band of all time” to be a slight, especially when that band isn’t making music anymore. I want MORE music like that band, not less. It’s REALLY hard to sound like Led Zeppelin when you’re trying to be.

When I hear that criticism coming from someone who actually likes Led Zeppelin, I know I am just dealing with a hater who wants to gatekeep because they derived a sense of superiority from seeing Zeppelin back in the day, something no one under the age of 50 ever had a chance to do.

They don't just sound like Zeppelin, the guitar player wears the same nudie suits or whatever those are that Page wore. And the lead singer claims his favorite singer is Steven Tyler. Yeah right. It's the fact that they won't own it that is lame.

The Black Crowes first album was basically a Stones/Faces album but then they put out Southern Harmony and became a band with its own style.

Zeppelin is my all time favorite band and have seen them 8 times, 3 while Bonzo was alive and I love GVF and we have seen them 5 times including the Red Rocks concert.

I get how some people feel some need to knight for LZ but Plant has been complimentary of them and Josh can flat out sing. The ease at which the higher registers come to him is amazing.

Someone mentioned Jake ripping off Page but his stage presence reminds me more of another hobbit that plays a SG.
