The feeling I get is a wish to go back in time and strangle with a tie the idiot who made it fashionable for a man to tie a useless scrap of colorful cloth around his neck.
I used to wear one daily and got pissed off every time I put it on.

The cravat at least served a purpose. The modern necktie is an unfortunate bastard child of men's fashion.
