I’m certainly no expert, but I understand that it was considered a fall. But I’ve seen some falls (such as Sav’s here) score in the 9.30 range, and some in the 8.90 range. So even with a fall, there were tenths to fight for. Sav fought hard to not come off the beam.
She was channeling her inner Gator. She momentarily forgot she wasn't at Florida any longer and she was executing the classic Gator Four on the Floor collapse. LOL
All joking aside Savannah was an incredible addition to the team and contributed great leadership and valuable performances throughout the season. Glad she got to be part of a championship team.

Yea it would make no sense for him to leave. It's at a top tier program, good gymnast coming back, and a great recruiting class coming in. Georgia is a step backwards.

Exactly. I just couldn't help but laugh when Leanne Wong fell on beam. Is it just me or is their head coach the most annoying coach ever. The hideous baggy jackets she always wears looks so retarded.

For sure. Wasn't the best championship for her but overall had a good bit to do with the success of the team this year. Started off the season a little slow but became a consistent scorer after a few meets.
Looking ahead to next year... I need KJ to do a 10 start value vault. She's too powerful/talented not too.

Jay mentioned that when she completed her routine Saturday, she ran off the floor with her head high and set aside her personal disappointment to exhort her teammates to stay focused and win this title. Thats leadership.

Two things:
1. The internet rumor mill is absolutely going crazy. Saying that Jay Clark is going to UGA. It makes sense but also makes no sense. What do you think? Hopefully, if there is an offer from UGA, LSU exceeds it.
2. Anyone have any clue when the championship shirts will be available to purchase in person? I prefer not to order clothes online, never know how they fit. I don’t think they have these shirts ready like they do for a football championship, lol.

I just wonder how this makes any sense for Jay and his family. I’ve read, on this thread, that his wife is from Mandeville. That must play some role in whether he leaves or not. Georgia, no doubt has the best history but LSU has been the better program for a decade and why would you return to a program that fired you?

Please stay, Jay! And the Griffiths, too!

It makes little sense for Jay to return to Georgia.
Congrats to the gymnasts. After coming so close all those years, they came through in a big way.

Two more LSU teams have a shot at a natty this school year:
LSU Women's Track currently ranked #1
LSU Women's golf
Obviously a lot has to go right in both sports but both have a shot and will be in contention.
