I skipped a visit to the Little Dooey today because the rainbow warriors had a “bazaar” going on at the park next door.
Starkville to celebrate LGBTQ+ community with Rainbow Bazaar
Starkville to celebrate LGBTQ+ community with Rainbow Bazaar

The Rainbow Bazaar will feature an art market with 35 vendors and live music from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with a sign-designing contest. People can walk well-behaved, vaccinated pets on leashes in the pet parade at 11 a.m. The events are free for the public to attend.

Trinity Presbyterian Church Pastor Natalie Wolf and University Baptist Church Pastor Sara Herrington Jones are helping plan and host the bazaar. “There’s not a board for the Starkville Rainbow Bazaar. There’s not any one business putting it on,” Herrington said. “It’s the Starkville community presenting this as a way for the community to give back to the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.”
