Is Afghanistan changed? Is the taliban still in power? What was accomplished in 20 years?

Cause it looks like it was a money siphoning operation, mic, with us troops considered acceptable losses.

I said we failed at nation building. Why do you keep bringing it up?

*ETA: this thread isn't about nation building

Just would like to know what was accomplished then? How are we benefiting after twenty years and billions of dollars and lost lives?

Considering the average Chinese “male” is about 5’2 110 pounds. Yeah. I like our chances regardless.

No dude. It was a loss any way you cut it. The enemy just bided its time knowing that we and our allies would never do the things that needed to be done to control the situation on the ground.

We did control the situation on the ground for the vast majority of the country...for almost 20 years. It was just pointless, so we left.

The population of Afghanistan is not compatible with the modern world and would never accept a modern society, economy, or government. No amount of military force would solve that.

I’m sure we could put together a deadly fighting force if we could convince the libs that the whoever our enemy was being backed by Donald Trump.

Please explain how your apocalypse fetish would even work. How would they get anything other than small arms? How would they resupply? What size city could they take?

Probably very well compared to other global populations just due to technology and resources, if nothing else.

What if say Mexico or a South American country agrees to let China user their land as a base?

Both are ridiculous but:

Mexico - we would force a change in the Mexican government (probably through military action) and their agreement with China would end.

South America - China is NOT sending an army up through the Darian Gap, they would get annihilated. Supply lines would be hopeless for them as well.

We'd destroy anyone but it depends on the circumstances of the war.

Y'all gonna sign up to go die for Tawain or the Donbas region of Ukraine?

Would you sign up to go fight Russia for Europes security?

If someone attacked us or there was a threat to our security then I would die for my country, but I or my sons will never fight for a foreign powers borders.

Ukraine is none of my business. That's a territorial dispute and frankly if Russia put nukes in Mexico I would say we should invade them so I don't understand the pure need to have Ukraine in NATO except for the provocation of war. I and my sons will not spill blood for neo-cons to get rich.

The only country I think we should go to war with is Mexico at this point.

They created and distribute poison to our citizens, they actively have facilitated the invasion of our country and here completely controlled by criminal cartels.

If I were the president I would give Mexico 6 months to stop all fentanyl production or I would start sending drones down. I don't know why we're so lenient with the country that kills our children and then ask for aid as they refuse to stop the flow of illegals into our country.

Mexico needs to be sent a message to get their shite together or we're coming.

China is absolutely our enemy and has been for decades now. They would immediately try to crush us if they could.

They haven’t been able to do it militarily, and so instead they have been working to defeat us economically instead for several decades now.

You’re dumb. Mexico doesn’t have anything that America wants other than cheap labor, get a clue.

Not sure if this level of stupidity can be helped if you don’t think the Communist Party of China is an enemy of the U.S.

Let me guess, you also don’t believe the U.S. federal government is corrupt at all?
