Why is it a “false dichotomy”? Seems to me more a matter of priorities.
Many, including myself are a little more concerned about our country’s future safety and security with the mess going on at our own southern borders.
It would seem others are more concerned with Ukraine as a priority but no, not a false dichotomy. It’s a very pertinent discussion point to bring up when talking about the security of this country and all the drumbeating of saving democracy.

Russia is no threat to the US. If Europe is threatened then they should actually spend money on decent militaries in their countries. They neglected their militaries for many years. Maybe England and France are the exceptions.
