re: What’s your best story of an answered prayer?

After stopping a couple of years of expensive, heartbreaking fertility treatments. We were going to resume efforts/treatment, but we'd both been convicted that we were trying to throw money at it, find the right practice, do it on our timing, whatever. Basically we were using all our resources as people who are used to "solving" our own problems with money or skill, etc. Not that we don't think God can use medicine to answer prayers of course, but we'd just never really left space for the plan He might have for us. We knew there were issues before our first son, so we went right into it for round two.

Because we'd been doing intensive stuff for so long, she was getting scans every month. Spare the details, but they told us it wouldn't be worth spending money on drugs/treatment that month anyway based on that, so it reinforced our position to take a break and reset, pray, etc.

That month, my wife got pregnant. Non-fertility assisted twin boys.
