This is bullshite. Every time I was called, when someone who had been summoned got called up for questioning and was not there the judge would issue a warrant for their arrest. People who “just don’t show up” with no consequences, have just been lucky that their name was not called in court to go up for questioning. Everyone should serve on at least one jury to familiarize themselves with the process. I found it rather interesting.
