Given that leopards are known to fight on equal footing with gorillas, I’d say this one could go either. Gorillas are also prone to excess bleeding. A few good bites could swing the battle quickly as the gorillas tire. Keep in mind that the wolves are just as big if not bigger than the gorillas, but they weight about 70% less. A gorilla would only be able to focus on a single wolf at a time and if the wolves work as a team, they may be able to cut them down slowly over time. If the gorillas were to somehow work as a team, they would sweep, but 5 silverbacks in an area would result in a melee where to wolves pick off whomever is left.

2 to 3 silverbacks vs 15 wolves would probably be a 50/50 fight.

Silverbacks win.

If 3 instead of 5, give me the Timberwolves.

I think people would be shocked at the size of a Timberwolf. This ain’t no coyote. They are big.

*timberwolves can get near 175 lbs. that’s a big fricking wolf.

Well, what about a Silverback vs a Grizzly?

Grizzly. Easily. I actually think that this fight was tried once back in the seedier days of the west. The grizzly was undefeated.

I think they wolves could possibly take out one. They are like Hyenas, They will seek out and attack the weakest one, and barrage him. I think the gorilla's could and would take out a enough of the wolves that they would ultimately back off, but I still think the wolves get 1, possibly 2 of the apes.

This.

I would envision something like the Hulk and Loki. Then the rest of the wolves scatter not wanting to deal with that.

Those wolves would not even go near those silverbacks. They’re smart enough to know that would end in certain doom.

That’s a substantial pack of wolves, but I’ll have to go with the silverbacks here.

Grizzly and it’s not close. Grizzly would have a size advantage. They also have razor claws and massive teeth.

Ok, if you assume it's a high fence match or some shite where neither group can run away, then you give the nod to the wolves.

The wolves instinctively work together, they're patient, have endurance and most importantly of all, they're predators.

Unlike a Gorilla, which is not a predator. Wolves instinctively know where the kill and maim points are. Also, the wolves would just simply wear them down.

Now 5 grizzlies against 15 wolves? No contest, the grizzlies frick them up hard.

Silverbacks win. You can compare this to Grizzlies vs Wolves IMO, and grizzlies win that battle even against fairly large groups. Ofc they’re never fighting to the death, the wolves are smart enough to survive for another day

No you can't.

Silverbacks aren't predators and nothing preys upon them. They can berserk and go wild all over the place but that's really all it is.

Gooble some videos of gorillas fighting and it looks sorta like a slap fighting sumo match.

The wolves would frick them up man. And on the off subject of a Grizzly versus a Silverback. Well no contest there either. A Grizzly would rip a Silverback to pieces for the exact same reason 3 wolves would frick up a single Gorilla.

Predators know what they're doing.

Let's swap the silverbacks for five sexually mature male orangutans.

5 silverbacks would kill any and every wolf that gets near them. WOlves are smart, so after they see they have ZERO chance, they'll simply retreat.
If they couldn't retreat, the silverbacks would kill all 15 in under a minute with hardly any damage to themselves.

Change the question to 15 cats, either Leopards or Lions. That's an actual debate.
Don't know if the Leopards could take them, but i think the Lions surely would.
