Misleading. The money was appropriated by congress. Trump was legally obligated to send money to Ukraine via the U.S. Treasury.

That's the story then there is what really happened.

Trump directed the money appropriated for Ukraine from the U.S. Treasury to the DoD and they spent the money on Raytheon Stinger Missiles and the missiles where shipped to Ukraine.

The old way of doing things was to direct the money from the U.S. Treasury to the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. From Marie she would then dole out the cash to her favorite contractors and NGOs to "help Ukraine".

Trump blocked the politicians cut from Ukrainian appropriations. That's the real reason they impeached him. It was payback.

He didn't veto the bill that appropriated that money either. Implies that he wasn't opposed to it.

This board consistently asserts that Zelenskyy is in on the corruption. You think he got impeached because he moved the money from one corrupted source to another?

No, his impeachment started as soon as he spoke the words "I would like you to do me a favor".
