CB may be slightly below SEC average too. DL is at the bottom of the SEC right now. Safety below average and LBs (?).
Right now it looks like defense may get gashed just as bad as last season.

Hell with Penn starting the LBs aren’t looking too hot either. I certainly don’t think the defense will make a jump to say top 30 defensively. But I’m hoping for top 60 just based on players knowing their assignments better. Which would be a big improvement from last season.

I believe that would take something like Baker quitting mid-summer out of nowhere and Kelly loses his mind and hires Pelini to come back as LSU's DC for the 3X.
