I was given my Great Grandfathers clock he received for being a Pioneer corn seed salesman for 50 years in Minnesota. He came over to America in 1923 from Sweeden when he was a young boy along with his 13 brothers and sisters. He was a farmer and tried to enlist during WW2 but was told to continue farming as the troops and America needed his product, corn.
That clock sits atop my Grandmothers piano she gave me right before she passed away. Some of my fondest memories are sitting with her on the piano bench and watching her play and sing. I play guitar and bass and can play a few tunes on the piano but not very well. It's one of my most prized possessions.
I don't have anything personal of mine that's worth much, maybe my Fender bass and Martin guitar I'll pass down. More than likely I give the clock to one of my son's and the piano to the other.
