Live shrimp under a cork also free lining shrimp. The water is deepest between the rocks in the surf. There are parking spots for beach access along the road on Grand Isle. I like the one at elm st. Because the rocks are further out and the water is deeper. We usually do good there. On days when the surf is rough the back bay holds alot of fish too. You need a boat or kayak for that. Alot of trout along the rocks in the back side of Grand Isle. Good luck ??

Thanks JR, been looking forward to this trip for months. Our three kids are grown with either spouse or very significant other, and we have a strapping 5 yo grandson who can’t wait to go to the island. All of them will be with us for the week. Rented the night bow fishing charter for the grown kids. Gonna be a great week. Thanks for tips.
