I'm listening to Abagail Shrier's "Irreversible Damage", and I'm on the chapter talking about this spike right now.

Abigail Shrier also talks about the corrosive nature of therapeutic culture. Which is an huge part of this social contagion. All these girls ( and women) who are encouraged to constantly indulge their negative emotions resulting in… shockingly…more negative emotions. The amount of women who have destroyed their lives because they have elevated past traumas and future fears above enjoying the present amazes me. It’s all so self indulgent and contrary to their own long term happiness.

Where are you listening to it? Did you buy it on audio? Heard it’s very good.

Surprised to find my library system has 3 copies of Abagail Shrier's "Irreversible Damage." I wonder if other patrons ordered them because the new books section is always full of very liberal titles. I doubt whoever selects them would have chosen this title.
