The team blows as a whole, but I would still like an explanation for why Bregman gets to suck absolute arse in the top of the lineup no matter what.
"He's a notoriously slow starter...gotta be patient for him to come around!"
If all he can do is beg for walks for the first two months of every season, then why doesn't he bat 9th to start the season? At least then his walks could potentially lead to runs.
He being crowned a perennial top-of-the-lineup hitter is laughable.

I’m sure the person putting together the lineup has a reason for Bregman batting second today, something along the lines of “he’ll get more fastballs hitting in front of Alvarez” or something equally philosophical.
But moving a struggling guy up in the order and theoretically giving him more ABs doesn’t seem ideal.
