Reported in his final mock draft.

quote:

The Saints have been calling teams to try to trade up, and I assume they want one of the top offensive tackles. I'm not sure how they have the OTs stacked on their board, but I do feel highly confident that New Orleans will be taking a bookend blocker in Round 1.

That being said, he has us settling for Troy Fautanu at 14, after 4 OTs are drafted ahead of us. This is all too realistic. Since our need is so glaring, it's all bit guaranteed another team will know they have to leap frog us to snatch an OT before we can. In this case it's the Eagles jumping ahead of us to get Fuaga.

Every draft, the Saints are an open book

Not even really us being an open book tbh.

Penning has been a disaster, Peat is still unsigned, your best OL(Ram) has a well known knee issue and could retire at any moment, Hurst just retired.

Stevie Wonder could see that we need OL

I have no idea why I don’t really love any particular tackle. I feel meh about most.

Latu has a lot of appealing characteristics.

Having choice of CB1 (Terrion Arnold seems to fit our style most) could be nice especially if we are entertaining trading Latt.

I think Odunze will be a great nfl WR.

Lots of pundits argue Byron Murphy may be the best D line player in draft. Could really turn our interior DL next level.

I genuinely think the saints are the worst poker playing front office in the NFL.

I love Murphy. Him and Bresee on the interior would be amazing.

Sucks we need OL this bad.

4 OTs are not going ahead us.. 8 QBs and tackles would be picked in the first 13 picks for that to happen. That has never happened before in history. Jeez you and Loomis are a bunch of chicken littles and horrible at poker…

I really see us staying pat at 14, taking Bowers or the CB1, then trading back up into the first to get the stud OT that falls. If we can do that trade for 2 second rounders, that’s a win.

And no way the top ends drop in the late 20’s like he thinks. Insiders are already saying Latu or Turner is a lock to go to Atlanta.

And that’s a problem why exactly? Fits a need, you don’t have to give up extra capital

Fautanu has the same degenerative knee that Ramczyk has

None of this really matters until we get a QB

In my honest opinion, the Saints have the worst front office in the league. This team is not competing next year for a championship. It should be in a cap conscious rebuild mode.

If they find themselves stretching to take an OT to "fill a need", I rather them just trade back accumulate picks and find value at the appropriate slot.

I think the T from Yale or T from Houston will end up being some of the better T from this draft.

They can be had in Round 2 or 3.

I would love to ‘settle’ for this guy. He’s going to have a long and successful career in the nfl

Yeah, no way turner stays on the board that long. I can't see him getting past 12 or 13.

These fricking dumbasses in the Saints front office will never ever learn their lesson.

PLEASE stop trading up and throwing all of our draft picks away.

Trading up for an OT would be catastrophic
