Sbarro is (was?) legit af. I mean I haven’t seen one in like 15 years but it used to be.
I don't think I've had Sbarro's since the 90's but my main memory of them is they always had a bunch of stuff under the glass that looked amazing but ended up just being reheated and mediocre. They were the cock tease of pizza chains.

I have a very vague memory of going to one when I was around 6

FWIW, there is still a Pasquale's open in Greenville MS. I hope someday I can go there & pay homage.

They’ve changed their dough. So much worse now.

They are still not bad if you don’t get one that is on promotion. It will cost a good bit more, but there is a hell of a difference between a pizza that you pay regular price for and one that is discounted due to some special.

Gattis has an old folks discount, $10 for all you can eat buffet & you can special order whatever you want. At least 9-10 different kinds & they keep'em coming, fresh & hot.

Johnny pizza for chain pizza is the best to me.

Only the ones in Ouachita Parish... all the others trash... I grew up walking distance next to the original beside Burger King... stay walking distance to the one on Highland now... it's like two different chains

I remember always grabbing a Sbarros slice in The mall food court at Town Center. It wasn’t bad. But anyone from where I’m from would know that Capozzis was the best. LINK /

Mr. Gatti’s needs to open more locations. So does Marco’s. They’re both good but rarely see them aside from a few cities. Should be more widely available.
Never had Mr. Gatti's but Marco's is legit. We have all the pizza chains where I live and Marco's is ALWAYS slammed. I looked into opening a franchise a few years ago and was surprised at how RELATIVELY cheap it was. I'm surprised there aren't more of them, to be honest.

I worked at Papa John's Store #420 in the late 90's in Lost Mountain GA. Best job I ever had.

For that reason alone, I am a Papa John's supporter.

Better Ingredients. Better Pizza.

Dominos is the best of the major/cheap chains now

Agreed, at least in about the last 10 years. It used to be terrible but it's better than Pizza Hut or Papa John's now.

Love's Travel stops sometimes will have a Godfather's Pizza and it tastes like a Hunt Brothers but on a 80s Pizza Hut crust. It's great.

I've had Sbarro twice in past month and I can say it's very mid.

I will only eat papa John’s if it’s free. Any free pizza is good enough. But I won’t buy it myself. Johnnys, then Pizza Hut probably as far as chains I have access to. Used to like papa Murphy but don’t have one close anymore

I still like Papa John’s best out of the big chains.

I had Little Caesar’s last month for the first time in probably 30 years and it wasn’t that bad. I had the half cheese sticks and half pepperoni. I thought it was good for the price.

Hungry Howies about the only “chain pizza” I’ll eat. Half Cajun, half ranch crust

I’m also gonna throw Papa Murphy’s in this mix, but nobody here knows what that is unless you’re from or traveled to Savannah, or Tennessee. It’s not even cooked. You take it home and cook it yourself. It sounds dumb, I agree. It’s not. As many toppings as you want all same price. And cook it when your family gets back from beach, or whatever you have planned, just go put in fridge at your place, then 15 minutes after you get back, voila, badass pizza. Obviously I’m biased to Savannah area, but if you’re ever on Tybee, go visit my friend Eric at Huc-a-Poos. Also great pizza and awesome atmosphere
