I thought it was a decent movie, but I've read all of James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux novels. I don't believe this movie was ever released in theaters, it went directly to cable and dvd.
I thought Tommy Lee Jones played Dave Robicheaux just as JLB created him. Great that Dave Goodman was in this flick, but I always envisioned him as Clete (whose character was not in this book or movie.)

You're right. Goodman would be a perfect Clete.

I like Peter skarsgard but his lines in this movie in some scenes were terrible.
I really enjoy this movie though. The narration, music, and atmosphere of most scenes are done really well.
