I wouldn't have even taken a number for that.

This.

Honestly shocked that your wife got weird about it. My gf would have called me a dumb-arse if I took a number and waited behind 20 people to ask a simple question, especially to some lady that wasn't doing shite.

I had to a get a new tag last Friday, and there were 18 people in front of me when I got my number. I waited 5 fricking hours before my number was called. I swear to God, 1 person was at window for over two hours. What in the hell can possibly take that long?!

A hispanic dude who got called in front of me went to the window to try and transfer a title or something. The lady immediately told him he didn't have the right materials to do that, and he'd need to get the materials and come back another day. She told him that she'd print some instructions for him on what he needed. Well, it took her no less than 30 minutes to get these instructions together to print out and give to this guy.

Most miserable experience I have had in quite some time.

Can't you get in line on line?

Ohio BMV lets you check in on line, gives you an ID #, puts you in a wait line and texts you to come inside when ur number is just about ready to be called.

And you're not wrong.
