I just don't understand. Don't these protesters, along with the ones that block major highways and that type of thing, realize that all they're doing is turning more people against them because of how outlandish they are being. They're just ruining aspects of the lives of their fellow citizens.
Imagine you're on your way to an important job interview and a protester is blocking the Golden Gate Bridge. Or imagine you are the first to graduate college, your family is all coming into town, and now the main commencement is ruined.
I really don't see how this is doing anything other than turning people off to the cause.

They had already blocked the valedictorian from speaking at that ceremony because she was going to do a speech about Palestinian treatment by Israel
They cancelled all the speeches bc of her. That’s great actually. You graduate college top of your class and instead of getting a speech and celebrated, they canceled the entire ceremony bc you’re an a-hole.

A classic case of a narcissist trying to make a collective celebration of a big accomplishment for all students instead all about herself and her own views, with no regard for the idea that idea that others might just want to celebrate without a condescending political lecture.
It's pathetic.

The goal of a terrorist is to disrupt. They let the terrorist win.

Yep. I think we found their election year planned chaos for this cycle.

This is misleading. USC has a bunch of individual graduation ceremonies for each college, such as School of Cinematic Arts or the Business School. USC also gathers together all of the students for a main commencement in its central quad. All this happens on the same day, all over campus. The school admin decided that with the significant unrest caused by the Gaza protests, the main ceremony would be cancelled but all the others would continue. Not surprising considering the risks associated with gathering 65,000 people together just for a 1.5 hours, all outside. Plus they need time to make sure outside agitators are not allowed onto campus. This is what the school sent out to USC students, parents, etc..:
As in previous years, the university will be hosting dozens of commencement events, including all the traditional individual school commencement ceremonies where students cross the stage, have their names announced, are photographed, and receive their diplomas. In keeping with tradition, we will be hosting all doctoral hooding ceremonies, special celebrations, and departmental activities and receptions.
With the new safety measures in place this year, the time needed to process the large number of guests coming to campus will increase substantially. As a result, we will not be able to host the main stage ceremony that traditionally brings 65,000 students, families, and friends to our campus all at the same time and during a short window from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

I really hope all these students and trash that dont have jobs that do this type of stuff get exactly what they got coming to them.

Might as well. They guaranteed the ceremony would be even more of a shitshow once they wouldn't let the val speak.
