Always loved the look of the 4 runner

I bought one in 1986. IT was a few years old. Mine was the style with the completely removable top. Was a cool feature but was a pain to do.

It was a very solid vehicle back then. All Toyota trucks back then were solid

Something like this one. No stripes on the side. Black rims and bigger tires

It may be a good vehicle, but I'm tired of having to accept 4 banger engines with so much boost it'll be a miracle if they make it to 75K miles.

I enjoy welding custom bumpers and the execution on this bumper is incredible. I know the picture is meant for a goof but props to the guy who came up with that design.

I like it too. But too pricey for low mpg though. The highlander is what I’m aiming for now.

We love our 23' Pro. It rides great with the Fox suspension. It's lifted and leveled with 33" AT's. My wife likes it a little rough and loud...LOL! She's an outdoorsy woman!

Toyotas have the best and most reliable vehicles of any brand. They all drive great.

4Runner is not for you. Buy an extended length Navigator if you want a grandpa ride.

I’ve never liked the head space of the 4 Runner. The roof is too low and the sides bend in more than other SUVs and hits the side of my head. It’s like sitting in the window seat of an airplane.

That being said, if you’re looking for smooth, why are you looking at a 4Runner?

Just crossed the Buffalo before that pic! We off-road quite a bit. Getting an Opus camper to really get off grid. The Fox suspension is very capable and smooth when we’re off-roading.

We just bought a 24 Limited and we also test drove the SRV regular package and the Limited is a smooth ride whereas the regular model was not smooth at all. I believe the wheelbase and tires are different on the limited and yes they look great

Ha! High Five.

Clears his throat and steps to the podium-

Surely my esteemed and wise compatriots of this illustrious discussion understand that the Nissan Altima is the top preference of the unwed mothers. The Toyota 4Runner thrives among the class of divorced mothers who got the house, kids, and assets from a failed marriage. It’s her RSVP to the personal trainers and rock climbing instructors.

Frickin LOVED them in the 90’s. I could do a clutch job in an hour.

We've got little kids so can't go as much as we'd like but do try to get out a few times a year, this was near Broken Bow a couple months ago.
