Heupel inherited a dumpster fire, not a roster full of NFL talrent and a Heisman winner.

LMFAO.....Kelly inherited a 6-7 team with 37 scholarship players and Jayden Daniels wasn't one of them moron.

He has still done better than Kelly.

Heupel at Tennessee
27-12 .692 (14-10 in SEC) .583
ONE 10-win season
ZERO SEC East Championships
ZERO Heisman Trophy winners

Kelly at LSU
20-7 .741 (12-4 in SEC) .750
TWO 10 win seasons
ONE SEC West Championship
ONE Heisman Trophy Winner

This is false. You did not have only 37 scholarship players and everyone always counts the next years recruits as part of the scholarship numbers. Which is why you never see people say "We dropped down to 60 scholarships" every year.

37 was just the number of players LSU had available for a bowl game after injuries, opt outs, transfers, academic issues, etc.

He had like 72 scholarship players his first year. Still less than max, but a far cry from 37.

But as far as Huepel vs Kelly, I give Kelly a lot of shite but he's worlds better than Heupel.
