Back in the day we respected the teacher and feared the principal. Now, teachers must be feared because principals get penalized when a student is sent to the principals office.

This substitute teacher will be lucky if he avoids jail... it is unfortunate because the only discipline most of these kids see is in school...

Used to get paddled at school and had to carry home the pink slip to get signed so I then got whipped with the belt.
Football coach gave out hits for D's and F's, but never had to worry about that because I never made bad grades.

When I was in school, we behaved ourselves most of the time because if our parents found out that we had behaved badly, life would have been really miserable.
