I’ll be as honest as I can.

I grew up in Texas in a Longhorn family. I’ve always found aTm annoying. As of late, UT fans on here aren’t much better. It was refreshing to leave the state for school and deal with other rivals, Ole Miss, Bama, Auburn, the like. I didn’t like 2012 expansion and don’t like the new expansion. I don’t care about playing Texas or OU. I hate that the Tiger Bowl won’t be every year. At least with aTm there was SOME history. UT and aTm are more alike than they want to admit. They talk a big game, constantly bring up money, and can’t stop comparisons with the other.

The newbs aren’t “southeast”. I hate that the conference has sacrificed its cultural identity for the almighty dollar, but that’s all of college sports these days.

Aggy made such a splash in 2012. I’m surprised they didn’t capitalize in a big way. That was arguably their best season in the conference.

You were considered to be the acceptable addition in comparison to Missouri's really random selection considering the existing history with multiple SEC schools. We still thought you were weird, but were seen widely as the "better fit" of the two. Then the new wore off. In general, most were against the expansion entirely.

This seems to be what I remembered, although I don't think they really thought you were weird until later. (The "A&M Welcomes the SEC to A&M" was one of the early deals that was pretty funny.)

I don't think you guys had a honeymoon but I thought they gave you some benefit of the doubt.
