Seems like too much to give up. No?

Depends on what you want to get back.

Do we always want to match someone we don't want to pay X amount for people of X amount?

Why can't we go into the offseason as buyers with cap space for once? Does that usually hurt teams?

(1) Pels 1st + (2) Mil swaps + Nance is a good bit less value than

(2) Detroit 1st in the next 5 years

At that point you have

BI for Duren + Grimes

We have SF depth and the issue is BI shooting 3's. This gives you another 23 y/o shooter that hasn't played up to a huge contract and can be retained for 3-5 years. You also get Duren who can be your future Center on a great value contract.

That contract allows you flexibility to

Resign Val
Resign Murphy
Not worry about Hawk/ Dyson til after CJ

The 2 for 2 swap of BI/ Nance for Duren/ Grimes fills 2 holes for cap space and C.

We would have about (45mil) next season.

Get Val back and center is set.
Sign Jose

We would have 20-30mil to fill PG/ backup PF/ 3rd string C.

OR you send BI+ (6) 1st + (3) swaps for Ant. And they may say no.
