Why not get a 2 sided stone and do it yourself? One side a little coarser than the other to use to knock down any burs or take out any nicks and the other, smoother side to put the edge on it.
It really isn't rocket science. You just have to hold a consistent angle on the blade when honing it on the stone.
You'll probably pay less for the stone than it would cost to sharpen the knives if you have several that need work.

this can be a slow boat to china if the blade is in bad shape. Nice to have a few series of grits to bring one back to life.
I don't mind paying someone who has a full powered setup to get my knives back in shape when the ceramic sticks or sharpening steel isn't effective anymore. Which is a pretty dang long time for me.
