Is it not the role of the federal government to protect specified classifications of individuals from discrimination as well as the threats of physical harm that sometimes accompanies it?

This is already against the law so we should allow a super battery charge or just steeper penalties for the ones this bill could be geared towards, which I'm sure would stop with just those who attack Jewish students.
