Do you think the bears locker room will respect a guy like Williams?

Not another bust thread, just the reality I thinks. If he’s playing like Rodgers, maybe they can support this guy.
But once it gets tough, can’t imagine the locker room can get behind this guy.
Do we think he is that much of an upgrade vs fields too? Remains to be be seen I suppose

Better passer for sure, and I don't think it's close.
But I'm not sure why I feel like this guy is just going to get killed in the NFL.

Fields sucks. If the fact that the best the Bears could do was get a conditional sixth round pick doesn’t convince you, I don’t know what will.

He seems to care about his teammates and connects with them individually.
So why wouldn't they respect that?
As long as he plays well no one cares about him painting his nails. Heck half the QBs I have dealt with got manicures with cleat paint lol

I think you know why OP is asking the question. A dumb question for sure though.

If he puts in the work, the other players will respect him. It’s old white dudes that care about him painting his nails

This board is pretty deranged over him already. Looks like he already has a good bond with Odunze, although that is likely because of the Pac 12 connections. Anyway, you can be eccentric if you win.

No not all white guys. I work with 30+ year old black guys, who were talking the other day how it is weird AF for him to paint his nails. Most middle age and older black guys don't like that crap either.

This board won't want to hear it, but the people who have actually been around Williams agree he is a very popular guy in the facility. Not just with players, but also with coaches and support staff. He makes effort to connect with others and seems to genuinely care.
He's also pretty fricking good at football and way better than Fields.
The biggest thing that is a risk for Williams is the fact that he's going to a team with a dogshit coaching staff, bad facilities, and almost no modern success.

After having Fields the last few years, they should all be jumping for joy now.

They said this about Manziel and Winston too.
Teammates and coaches will always say good things about their kids and teammates

Manziel probably had the connect, so why wouldn't they like him?
