What is not talked about enough is that our 3 point specialist is not good at hunting 3's.
Thats not all on Trey. Our offense doesn’t feature him at all.

Trey took 5 3's today he was to worried about trying to put Chet on a poster.
Majority of them, Chet clearly fouled him.

The issue with Trey is he's just a spot up shooter. He's very average as a movement shooter. Take coming off screens for example, he's in the 56th percentile in the league scoring 1.06 points per possession. Hawk for example is in the 87th percentile scoring 1.26 points per possession. When you turn that into spot up Trey is in the 86th percentile, scoring 1.18 points per possession. Trey really needs to work at becoming more than just a spot up shooter, he needs to develop as a movement shooter some more.
Interestingly enough, CJ is even worse. CJ was in the 19th percentile off of screens this year. He was in the 98th percentile as a spot up shooter. To see if this year was a fluke I looked up CJ's stats from last year, and he was in the 30th percentile off screens. He too, like Trey, is a great spot up shooter, but not a great movement shooter.
