"pay him ..."
Exactly what is wrong with and destroying college football. NO loyalty, all about the $ and unrestricted free agency. Follows the pattern of this world though.

I'm glad you finished with this. Until the world changes, which it never will, this will be the new normal. You can't hide behind academics forever when they are loudly talking about new 3 billion dollar TV contract deals and programs moving from conference to conference strictly for money purposes. Paying the players was inevitable.

And this money can't even be regulated because NIL deals are sponsorships. Even if you built it like the NFL, you can't stop them from going to the highest bidder. The only way you change it is by running it like a business and making the kids sign multi year or hell, one year contracts.

Make 3 year contracts and after that, they are free to go to the NFL or sign a contract with another school for a year or two based on eligibility. This regulation can end the transfer portal nonsense of young players leaving after one year.

Just curious if you'd stay at your current job if someone else offered you a few hundred grand more to do the same thing? As a follow-up: Are you also "exactly what is wrong with and destroying" the world? Or does that only apply to one job in particular?

As a second follow-up: Since you hate the use of money as an incentive, what's your preferred economic system? Surely you hate capitalism, based on this post.
