I'd honestly be surprised if LSU wins 10 games this year with their schedule, and offense that will be worse, and a defense that may not see a ton of improvement from last year.

I didn't think the secondary could get any worse than last year but after watching spring game I'm terrified with Sage/Burns as your last line of defense. Currently DL is much worse than last year which is saying something. Could the defense end up worse than last year? Tons of inexperience at CB, Sage/Burns at S, and a DL that's significantly lacking depth on a much harder schedule

In your first 100 or so posts with this alter, you've proven to be one of the shittiest posters on here.

Maybe you should delete this alter and start another.

No need to be sensitive. Looking at the facts right now it's not looking good for LSU and they didn't really address any defensive concerns on a historically bad defense last year. The only upside positive is the HOPE younger guys develop and you got a good coaching staff on paper to develop them. It's still the same defense minus depth and experience. They lost 3 NFL DL and that unit was arguably weak last year.

Looking at the spring game the defense was really bad. There was a few positives for sure. Maybe we can say it's them learning a new defense that's fair. We'll know more in the fall. Right now the DT is a massive hole in the defense even Kelly addressed it. At CB you have a ton of inexperience but I'd say this area is encouraging because some of the younger CBs looked pretty good in spring. You still have Perkins on defense always a major positive.

I think it's pretty unrealistic to think offense will be as good or better than last year. I believe they'll still be good because Kelly is an offensive minded coach and I like the confidence Nuss has. That combined with one of the hardest strength of schedules in the country I don't know why what I said is that bad. Sure, you can look at it as a negative but I'm looking at the facts right now.

I'd love to come back and say I was completely wrong. I sure can be. I never thought Jayden could ever see the season he did last year. That's the thing nobody here can predict development on a player. It happens all the time an offseason happens and something clicks which I'm hoping it does for several guys. I think LSU has the right pieces to start with on defense in coaching and that might be the difference maker. Maybe Kelly felt they just needed development talent is not the issue. They still need to address DT though.
