It's wrong and the students should be expelled..but the Palestine flag is not the Hamas flag..

That distinction might make a difference if these activists had, at any point, demanded Hamas release its prisoners and stop raping women and killing children.
At the end of the day progressives support Hamas' behavior for the same reason they supported BLM riots. They think the only way the poor and impoverished can defeat the system that's keeping them like that is violence.
They're Communists, plain and simple. And most will even admit it.
Israel = rich; therefore evil.
Palestine = poor; therefore good.
It's that simple.

That is a technicality. Hamas is the only political party that has ever been voted in by the Palestine people. It would be like saying the Democrat flag wasn’t the American flag if they won every election since the country was founded.
