They do have young people who rebel against the system. Mostly 18-25 y.o. males. But they don't commit crime. They are similar to our 1950s beatniks who just wanted to do their own thing.

I'm going to guess that right out of the gate, they actually enforce prosecution of their criminal code.

They are a different breed than we are. The average sorority girl has more testosterone than a Japanese man.

Because most Asians at the grass roots level are decent, respectful, hard working, honest and supportive of family.

Sound familiar? I didn’t think so! Change to the opposite of the adjectives above and you’ll be accurately describing another race of humans.

Japan has something that no one in America has, or at least way too few here do.
And that's a culture of pride in the country combined with care for other people.
Not only is crime super low but there is no litter, graffiti, and public transportation is clean.
Heck, they take pride in making sure trains are on time. I mean exactly on time. Even a minute or two late will warrant a public apology and an investigation.
Manufacturing is loaded with pride and care for the company's success, regardless of the level of employee.

It’s because of the reason you & everyone knows but refuse to admit.

Osaka is also the “ghetto” city of Japan. I have never been to Japan, but I highly doubt I would feel unsafe anywhere there

Japanese will stop for a "Don't Walk" sign on Sunday morning when there isn't a car on the street.

Their criminal code: Japan's drug laws are extremely harsh against foreigners & a foreigner arrested can be held without access to legal council for several mths. For citizens, its drug laws are fairly moderate, enforced but not harsh. But according to my Japanese d-in-law, arrests & subsequent prosecutions are the norm. A rap sheet with no consequences, to the extent it's common here, just doesn't exist there.

Definitely. It's worse here than they are even telling us... especially with regard to one particular demographic.

7 teachers at one school buried 2 male students in the sand up to their chins, as punishment for poor behavior. No charges filed

Pretty interesting in that if you look up Tokyo demographics, you find numbers that show age, industry and occupation.

ETA: Not much is found by race.

I left school early one afternoon. I decided to take the bus, then the train across Tokyo. I forgot one symbol on the train. I ended up 20 miles from the base. Had 200 yen left in my pocket. (less than a dollar)

Walked forever until I recognized the train station outside Grant Heights .....

Arrived home at 7PM, I got the leftovers from the dinner the maid prepared.. Next day I had her write every bus or train sign I would encounter.

It was funny .....folks would stop and try to talk because they knew I was lost. I knew just enough Japanese to get me headed in the right direction.

Sorry, no groping on the train ......

I noticed the same. Eventually saw that nearly 98% of the population of Japan is Japanese. Seems like their homogenous nature combine with their values leads to low crime rates.

Say what you want, but 3 years living there taught me don't let your white wife or daughter ride the subway/train alone. There's a reason you can buy used ladies underwear from vending machines over there.

What are their unemployment rates? I would think in Japan it’s very low. Not a lot of idle time for committing crimes.
