But seriously, I don't think this is legal since they're both domiciled in Florida

Not gonna happen. Cuck45 told us that Ron is an establishment prick. Why would Trump want to be associated with that?

Claiming it and being domiciled there are 2 different things

With all the terrible legal advice Trump has gotten (on the side of aggression), I'd hope he wouldn't frick it up again.

Florida is a big state, and necessary for Trump.

I will not vote for POTUS Trump if this occurs. That is Elon's "other" wet dream to have DeSanta 1st in line.

Cuck45 also told us that DeSantis wants to destroy SS and Medicare. We can't have a VP that wants to destroy SS and Medicare. A total non starter IMO.

Good grief your tds is out of control

When Texas Gov. George W. Bush chose Dick Cheney as his running mate on the Republican ticket, Cheney had been living and voting and paying taxes for five years in Texas. Shortly before the election, however, Cheney obtained a Wyoming driver’s license and put his Dallas home on the market. (He had a vacation home in Wyoming, which is the state he had formerly represented in the U.S. Congress.)

Looks like its easily been done before

Don realizing he’s going to need every vote and attacking the future of the party wasn’t that wise.

I watched A LOT of YouTube podcasts last night explaining this is picking up major steam and the Libs are freaking the frick out

I’m just curious how the Ron bots will react to this if true.

Will they finally embrace Trump?

Will they be Ron/Trump bots and go after Libs and Biden supporters online?

How will they accept this?

Florida Electors can't vote for a President and VP from Florida.

So Trump could win the Presidential EC race, but the VP would go to a DEM (unless they got so many EC votes for VP, Florida's EC votes were irrelevant, which nobody expects) .

Nothing prevents the president and vice president from being from the same state. Electors can't vote for both a president and vice presidentfrom their own state.

If they ran as a ticket, either Trump or DeSantis would not receive Florida's 29 electoral votes, while the other would. Its not like Harris would get the votes, Florida electors would just give the votes to another republican. If no VP candidate gets 270, the senate votes on the vp. If DeSantis still got 270 without Florida, absolutely nothing would be different from any other race.

SFP, I say this with all due respect, but you're a lawyer.

Using the term legal here is an odd choice.

Its perfectly legal. Nothing illegal about it.

However it would potentially forfeit electoral votes. Electors of a state cannot cast a ballot for both the President and VP if they are from the same state.

Cheney and Bush were both "from" texas, so Cheney at the last minute just obtained a Wyoming DL and made his vacation home there his primary home.

Trump would have to attempt to do the same with New Jersey, although it would be a little more complicated and lawsuits would certainly pop up over it.
