The players from last year loved CJJ. Beloso even mentioned us potentially needing a new intimidator while he is here. Im going to go ahead and trust those guys over a bunch of emotionally dysregulated message board fans

in 1987. His 3rd or 4th year. We'll be fine

What's that got to do with this year ? I doubt Skip made as many stupid tactical mistakes as Johnson has made this season. Skip made his program, and didn't win a championship with Jack Lamabe's talent.

This is true because it took Skip 8 seasons to win a ring

Wrong about 1987-
We won the Regional at UNO.
That was the year Stanford’s Paul Carey hit the very historic grand slam off Ben to beat us in the CWS semi finals.
I still am pained to this day remembering that game.

Look at before that also, Andy Lopez had that thing rolling and won a championship. Positigers don’t like facts.

NicolasTiger and PirateKing provide the same shite quality, but at a much higher quantity. Either way, that's some terrible company.

They missed the postseason the three years before Johnson was hired. That’s not the definition of rolling.

Weird how neither baseball or football can’t somehow string together back to back successful seasons.

That Stanford game was brutal. Tied at 2 going into the 10th, Craig Faulkner hits a 3 run double with 2 outs in the top of the 10th to give the Tigers a 5-2 lead. I forget who followed Faulkner but he hit a sinking line drive to Stanford's CF, who made a great diving catch to save at least one run, Sadly, we know what followed in the bottom of the 10th.

BTW, Stanford's CF that day would later be drafted by the Minnesota Twins. He instead chose to play football and would go on to play for the Saints...DB Toi Cook.

Jay may very well eventually get fired here down the road, but I see no similarities between the two other than bad year after title. Other than that, they’re quite different people IMO.

LSU won a regional (with a lot of Freshman) and no transfer portal the year prior to Johnson being hired
