The side effect is not as rare as a covid induced fatality in an otherwise healthy individual.

On the other hand, it's become more clear that there are some possible complications long term to the Vax.

Not heart disease, in any proven % larger than the population at large.

Possibly blood clots (which is what OP focused on), but AZ was the UK vax and was not used here. AZ talking about blood clots cannot logical confirm any American-based anecdote from completely different vaxes.

It's going to be very difficult with all of the heart issue Covid itself caused, but the body's response to the vax is inherently the same reaction.

Eh... both the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson shots were vector vaccines.
quote:

The Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is a vector vaccine. AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford also have a vector COVID-19 vaccine.
Mayo Clinic

And J&J shot had their EUA revoked in June 2023:
quote:

Notice:
COVID-19 Vaccine, Viral Vector (Johnson and Johnson/Janssen) is no longer commercially available in the U.S and the Emergency Use Authorization has been revoked as of 6/1/2023. Please see the following for more information: https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/coronavirus-covid-19-cber-regulated-biologics/janssen-covid-19-vaccine

Because of blood clots, just like the AZ shot:
quote:

Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine may cause life-threatening blood clots. Symptoms of blood clots can include shortness of breath, chest pain. leg swelling. persistent abdominal pain, severe or persistent headaches, blurred vision, or petechiae (tiny red or purple spots on the skin) and may occur 1 to 2 weeks after vaccination. If any of these symptoms should occur, seek immediate medical attention. If you have a history of blood clots with low platelets following the Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine or AstraZeneca (not currently approved in the US) COVID-19 vaccines, you should not receive the Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine.
