Arresting them and then releasing them after 90 minutes will only encourage them to keep doing it. They were welcomed back as heroes to their terrorist encampment.

Hopefully they were booked, photographed, fingerprinted, strip searched, and humiliated before they were released so they can be hunted down just like the J6 people were.

It does say that many of those arrested were given trespass notices that they are barred from campus for 1 year. So in theory they shouldn't be returning to the protest camps but...
Enforcement of those trespass violations will be the key. Keep piling on charges and you remove the incentive, otherwise this was useless.
