Win 2 out of 3 at A&M and you may have a chance. But not really lol.

If they win 2/3 against A&M, and go 4-2 against Bama and Ole Miss I would say they are in at 13-17. IF they did that and won a tourney game, they are a lock.

That said, I don't see them winning the A&M series.

The defending National Champs get an automatic bid.

LSU is on pace for a better overall record than 2023 Georgia.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that. LSU would have to go 5-4 for that. That’s winning one against A&M and then winning the series against Bama and Ole Miss. Thats not “on pace” with our actual record or with how we’ve played so far.

He was talking about overall record. We are currently at 28-17 with two more winnable non conference games. That gets us to 30. Win two against Ole Miss and we are at 32 overall wins. Same as Bama in 2021.

LSU has been run ruled 3 times

Imagine losing to Southern U. who was swept to Texas Southern

Do we have an argument to get in a regional…
as of now, no.

We're the defending champs, and return a few significant bats and pitchers, as well as having added through transfers and recruiting. Since conference play started, we have been extremely underwhelming. We lost our first 5 series, got swept by both teams in line to be national seeds. Lost to a couple decent teams, including 2 series to teams not currently ranked. We finally hit a stretch where we're playing other teams not in contention, and won those series, but neither were sweeps. We most recently failed to sweep Auburn, who came into the series with 2 conference wins. Game 2 was down to the wire, we had to win in the bottom of the 9th. Game 3, we trailed from wire to wire.
We have won just 1 game 3 of a series in 7 attempts, and have been run-ruled 3 times in those games, when a win would have won the series.

I objectively fail to see where you could evaluate LSU and say they could be in a regional, and have any chance of winning beyond the second game. It could be an elimination game against a 4 seed, and our pitching would suggest we'd lose. We've had one consistent pitcher, Holman, who is beginning to taper off now. We have one currently intriguing pitcher, Jump. We have a moribund offense that leaves the stadium after the 6th inning, and a bullpen that can't hold leads to save their lives.

LSU, as of now, has a decent early season and the program reputation, and that's it.

I know fans will be passionate about their respective teams, hell I am too. But the truth of the matter is our baseball team did not take care of business this season.
Some of the losses we have this year, conference and non-conference, would not have even been imagined in past seasons with the teams we had.
This year's team had us all hyped up, and to be honest, fell flat!
The pitching that we thought would be our strong point never showed up. The consistent hitting at the plate was never a factor. Players that we thought would make that leap to greatness didn't move in a positive way. Their development either stalled to a standstill or they actually regressed.
Here's hoping that we can salvage a pretty disappointing season and win some games that no one thought we would. Let's finish with a flair!

Will anyone bring more fans to a road regional than LSU? I have a hard time believing that doesn't matter when you're on the bubble.

It’s better not to beg. Let’s move on from this dismal season and focus on bringing some studs in for the 2025 season.

Minimum 14 wins to make it to ncaa tournament ; 13 wins and couple of sect wins can also help with advancing to sec tournament

I think we would need some help in conjunction with essentially needing to win 6 more games. Preferably all 3 series. Especially the A&M series. But also, Florida seeming like the best candidate to freefall low enough for us to pass them in the standings. There isn’t a rule on how many teams they will take from a conference, but I’m pretty sure they keep it in mind when they are selecting the last few at large teams.

The entire season record and strength of schedule should determine, as should be in any sport. These automatic qualifiers from very weak conferences, regardless of records is BS. They should take the top 64, period. If they did, LSU would surely qualify. But, they don’t. Poor teams take the place of far better teams. Not good at all.

Winning a series against #1 certainly wouldn't hurt.

If Arkansas really had a live feed in the dugout the SEC needs to do the right thing and vacate their wins

That would be a 3 game swing.

10-11 would look a lot better than 7-14 right about now

That's not how vacating wins works. They lose the wins. Their opponents gain nothing.

Well that just seems unfair. Such is life. Will just have to earn it.
